This new microbial enumeration method has been verified and widely accepted by International Standard Organization namely Association of Official Analytical Chemsists (AOAC International) and Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR) as a standard method for microbial enumeration. The primary advantage of this technology is its short turn-around time, for example, 3 days for E.coli and Coliform count, instead of 5-7 days using conventional methods.
